Coconut cream is a thicker coconut product, made from blended more coconut meat and less water than coconut milk. Coconut cream can be used as a substitute for coconut milk if it is diluted with additional water.

Storage information

To ensure food safety, one should check the expiry date on the can before using the product. Once the can has been opened, the coconut cream must be consumed immediately or transferred to a safe food container (non-metallic) and kept refrigerated (consume within 24 hours). It should never be left at room temperature because it can turn sour and spoil easily.
